Bom Bom is a coming of age road story punctuated by the music and politics of the seventies. A story of youthful hedonism, love, self-discovery and wild adventures through amazing landscapes that only a few were brave or stupid enough to embrace.
Bom Bom is an adventure story about Mark, a young Aussie who heads to Europe to travel the perilous overland Hippie Trail back home. On the ferry to Athens, he falls in love with an American backpacker and together endures the wild and winding road to Kathmandu. They arrive in Bangkok, almost broke, but alive. With a throw of the Tarot, they spend their last dollars on a flight to Tokyo, where unbelievably they make big money to hit the trail again. In India they separate and Mark finds himself travelling alone in search of his lost love and his own sense of being. A wacky tale of drugs, sex and enlightenment in a time when you could. And a crazy road trip through places and headspaces that defined a time.
